Interstate Documentary Poster
A project inspired by the 2007 documentary Helvetica, this poster promotes the fictional documentary on the typeface Interstate. Crafted by type designer Tobias Frere-Jones, Interstate is a san serif typeface ideal for display use.
The poster features Interstate repeated on the upper half of the composition to balance out the negative space left at the bottom of the poster. The text at the top is set in green since it is used as the main color for interstate wayfinding signage. My goal for the poster was to experiment with type as the main subject of the composition.
